My name is Mitch Dallas. Born in New York City and raised in Chicago, I've been fortunate enough to have surrounded myself with the many aspects of the creative realm that I've come to embrace and love. Through high school I partook in a Grammy Award winning music program, while also immersing myself in the architectural drafting and computer graphics courses offered. These elements proved to be useful post-high school as I went on my own back into my home city to test out my skill set in one of the world's renowned entertainment capitals.
I've since had the opportunity to work on set for various film and television productions throughout the years, both on and off camera. By initially placing my foot in the door as a production assistant, my skillset has grown and been utilized as I've come to work as an art director, script supervisor, production coordinator, assistant director, producer and so on. I have enjoyed trying my hand at new experiences as they come, such as the Tribeca Film Festival, and working in various roles in the queer art community. I've even allowed myself to partake in the extravagant drag nightlife scene of New York City, in which I independently produced my own music, costumes, hair, makeup and events in order to expand the growing art form and to create a self branded business.
I've earned my Associates in Science degree in Video Arts and Technology from Borough of Manhattan Community College, as well as my Bachelor of Fine Arts in film from Manhattan's School of Visual Arts. Alongside this achievement, I have also taken interest in pursuing graphic design in the realm of digital illustration.
Most recently, I have returned to New York City after residing in Orlando, Florida over the last 3 years working for the Walt Disney Company. This has given me a new perspective on not only the world of entertainment, but also the benefits of working within a global network based on a diverse landscape of cultures, roles and talent. Currently I am making magic in a corporate role at The Walt Disney Company's newly built New York City headquarters.
I hope to take the next step in pursuing my passion of visual storytelling through the art of film and media by moving forward with my ambitions and work ethic and allowing myself to advance in this exciting realm that I've passionately come to love.
