Born in New York City and raised in Chicago, Mike Dallas has built a creative career shaped by film, music, design, and live performance. His artistic foundation began early through a Grammy Award-winning music program, alongside studies in architectural drafting and computer graphics, disciplines that helped shape his visual and storytelling perspective.
Mike earned his Associate of Science degree from Borough of Manhattan Community College before continuing his education at School of Visual Arts, where he received his bachelor’s degree. He also briefly attended New York University Tisch School of the Arts through its Collaborative Arts program, further expanding his multidisciplinary creative background.
After returning to New York City following high school, Mike began working professionally in film and television production. Starting as a production assistant, he expanded into roles including art director, script supervisor, production coordinator, assistant director, and producer across a variety of productions both on and off camera. His work has also included experiences within the queer arts community, participation in the Tribeca Film Festival, and producing independent drag performances and events throughout New York City — creating original music, costumes, makeup, and branded live experiences.
Mike later spent three years in Orlando working for The Walt Disney Company before returning to New York to contribute to Disney’s newly developed corporate headquarters. His experience within a global entertainment company further strengthened his understanding of collaboration, creative leadership, and large-scale production environments.
Most recently, Mike survived a serious spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury, leading him to temporarily return to Aurora, Illinois while focusing on recovery and rehabilitation. The experience has deepened his perspective and strengthened his commitment to visual storytelling through film and media.
As he continues recovering, Mike remains focused on returning to the creative industries with renewed ambition, bringing together years of production experience, artistic versatility, and a passion for meaningful collaboration.
